What Happens to the Sun in Lost
The sun does not die in Lost. The series finale shows the characters living out their lives, and daylight continues in the flash-sideways timeline.
Lost Finale and the Sun
In the final episode, "The End," the sun rises as characters reunite in a church-like afterlife. The sky stays bright, and there is no solar extinction shown.
Why Fans Ask If the Sun Dies in Lost
Fans ask this because the show ends with a mysterious flash of light and a sense of closure. Some confuse the flash with the sun dying, but the light represents emotional resolution, not destruction.
