What Is the Most Popular Show on Netflix
Netflix does not publish a single official global #1 show, but its weekly Top 10 list tracks the most-watched titles by hours viewed. The top position changes frequently based on new releases and viewer habits. You can see the current leaderboard at Netflix Top 10.
How Netflix Measures Popularity
Netflix ranks shows using total hours viewed within a specific window, usually the first 28 days of release. The list is updated weekly and broken into global and country-specific charts. A series that holds the #1 spot for multiple weeks often signals sustained audience interest.
Common Types of Shows That Reach the Top
Dramas, reality competitions, and true-crime docuseries frequently appear at the top of the charts. International hits also rank highly because Netflix counts views from every country. New seasons of popular franchises often surge to the top immediately after release.
