Where Is Ted Lasso Set
Ted Lasso is set primarily in London, England, where the fictional Premier League club AFC Richmond is based. The series follows an American coach navigating English football culture, media, and team dynamics in and around the capital.
Most filming for the London scenes took place in the United Kingdom. Key locations include Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace FC, which stood in for AFC Richmond’s stadium. Other London streets, pubs, and neighborhoods were used to build the show’s recognizable English setting.
Kansas and American Storylines
While the main action is in England, Ted Lasso’s personal story begins in Kansas, United States. Flashbacks and early episodes reference his American roots, coaching background, and the journey that brings him to London.
Real Filming Locations
Outside London, production also used locations across England and the U.S. For specific details on filming spots and how they map to the show’s settings, you can check the official Ted Lasso series page on Apple TV+.
